As the global technological landscape continues to evolve, India has emerged as a strong player on the world stage. With its robust economy, skilled workforce, and strategic governmental policies, India is poised to become a prominent player in the semiconductor industry. This report offers an analysis of the Indian semiconductor manufacturing sector, encompassing the gamut of demand, growth estimations, governmental initiatives, and major manufacturing locations. The global supply chain reorganisation or recalibration after a clog during the COVID times has triggered the manufacturing of semiconductors in India.

As demand for electronic devices continue to rise, the need for semiconductors has also increased significantly. India, with its large and rapidly growing population, is one of the largest consumers of electronic devices in the world. We explore the country's semiconductor demand and the potential benefits of meeting that demand with domestic production.
